One question, where did you get those M3 mirrors in those 3 year old pics? Are they from a 94-97 4 door Accord?

 

is this the same yellow TL that everyone knows about? if so, i liked it better before. never was a fan of the c/f hood that's a different color from the car. its looks like you got rid of the big-ass wing that you previously had...congrats i liked the previous rims though...

 

ahhh just the guy ive been trying to get a hold of! yes, this is the infamous yellow TL (not the one here in houston..thats another guy) anywho, i have the same question as 96tl, where did you get your M3 mirrors from? i like your m3 mirrors than the one you have now but its all good. i also believe you have a different yellow paint now?? it looks kind of goldenish yellow. love the custom hood, i read about your post awhile back. i guess you didn't get a buyer yet but im sure somebody on this board with a 3.2 might want it. come hang out with us more often! i know you got crazy a*s stereo upgrades in your ride!

 

yeah the car was repainted not too long ago... the old mirrors were off an m3... had to do some modifying to make them work, but it's possible...

 

So if its possible for real BMW M3 mirrors to work, then the Accord ones shouldnt be a problem!

 

How much did it cost you to do the shaved door handles thing?

Nah it isnt photoshoped. Just some sidemarkers mounted on the mirrors. My CLK mirrors are being shipped....

 

what modifications do you have performance wise.. also what kind of suspension do you have specifically...

 

i sold the mirrors way back.. the new mirrors are bomex aero off another car.. and the m3 ones had to be modified to fit... wont just bolt on... apex'i N1 exhaust... intake... nitrous express kit... and ground control and GAB shocks.. 18" advan kreuzer 5s... the wheels are for sale

 

Do you have a 3.2? If you do, where did you find the shocks?

 

yea, its a 3.2... i got the shocks a few years back from wings corp... expect to pay a lot for them

 

How hard was the Bomex mirror's to modify. What car were they from.

 

not too hard to fit... they are off an mr2

very nice... what i love most is the fact that you shaved the door handles and the side moldings... for the moldings im guessing that the body shop welded metal in there ( am i right?? and do you know about how much that would be)

yeah the welded metal into over the space for the molding and handles... price varies on the body shop...

from and how much did it cost

 

you can get door poppers from any car stereo place...

 

OK I mean the solenoid kit, do you have the 35lbs 4,8 channel and how much did it cost...

Yo, man I have been waiting for months for you to post some threads on your car. You were the inspiration to hook up my car, but I must admit that when I got my door handles shaved off, I didn't know about your car. But let me ask you a few questions:

1. Where did you get your carbon fiber hood? I called Bomex and they said that they don't make it for 3.2's, so I want to know if its custom. If so how much did it cost you, labor and all?

2. Secondly you state that you have a Nitrous Kit, do u use a dry system or a wet one? Can you explain a bit how it works and how many shots you currently have in it?

miguel this post is from a looong time ago I brought it to the front because I thought we should sticky it next to the other one all star hasn't been here for a long time.. how much did it cost to get your handles shaved I've been wanting to do that for a while and everybody says it will cost around 2200

 

Yeah that is about right. They are expensive to get done, b/c its not the door poppers or the alarm, its the labor of shaving the door handles and I had my whole reinforced w/steel and welded on, don't let them put fiberglass, b/c anyone can just punch it and break into your car. I got mine done for about $3000 total, which included the door poppers for all 4 doors, the certain alarm I needed to get, also I had a backup opener incase my battery went dead and I needed to get in the car. The door poppers work off the battery. Also I had my whole car repainted, not just the doors and I had everything shaved off, the door moldings, etc....and I had a 3 coats of semi-gloss put on it, so it could look especially shiny. I wish I could post a pic, but I don't know how to. I can send you an email, if you give me your address.
