i dont think its the alternator because mine was doing it off and on - only like say once a week. it would go on stay on for like 30 seconds then go off. i havent had any problems with charging and it hasnt done it in awhile but i have not been driving my car so...
i wouldnt worry about unless you test it out like slam on the brakes and see if the ABS kicks on. if it dont then you got probs.

i was wondering maybe could it be the sensors...

why not just take the car to a parking lot and jam on the brakes? just see if the brakes lock up or the ABS kicks on. thats how the dealer would be road-testing your car.
i mean it could be the sensors but then your talking $$$$
i cant remember if these cars have a fluid resevior (or even a fluid system for that matter) for the ABS system. and guess what it could be just fluid or even regular brake fluid.

thats what i would do just to give yourself an idea of whats going on.
