Took off rear A emblem

I took off the rear A emblem off and there's still some adhesive on the trunk.

I tried, goo-gone, rubbing compound, 3M scratch remover, and it still won't come out!

Any suggestions on how to remove the remaining adhesive?

Try 3M adhesive remover thats what i used on my car when I debadged it. Itll take some elbow grease, but that should get it off.

try using a hair dryer to soften it and get goo gone all over it and rub it off.

Yeah sometimes, after you take an emblem off, it's easy to get the crap off. But sometimes, your in for some major work. I'm surprised rubbing alcohol didn't do it.

man i tried using the hair dryer technique, 3M Adhesive remover, rubbing alcohol, and I even bought the "Heavy Duty" rubbing compound... the one with the harsh abrasives. And it STILL WON'T COME OFF! that left over adhesive is really stubborn.

I'm just going to take it to the paint shop tomorrow morning to see what they can do. I hope i won't have to repaint my trunk.

but thanks for all of the your suggestions!!
