Fellas, I am happy that I have been a part of the 1st Gen Forum ever since I bought my 3.2 back in 2001.

Lots of lessons learned and lots of advise given as well. I think the TL found a new home that enjoys it.

I will miss it and hope to see it once in a while.

For now I bid adieu. I will still be checking in and will be available for consult.

Mandy- this has to be bittersweet. Keeping these old cars going takes a lot of passion, and you certainly displayed that passion. Thank you very much for everything you have done for this forum and for fellow owners.

Yes of course another TL is in the future. I want a 3rd Gen CL-S. Am in love with that shape.

Cheap at $3.9K could have waited...

 

I'd take that for ours. That's over twice what we have in it and approaching three times what we paid for it.

 

It found a new home that's the key, otherwise it will sit baking in the GA sun.

 

Mandy, your car was very nice, and $3,900 I think a fantastic sale for you. I paid $1,200 for my '97 3.2 TL (premium package) six months ago, but it had a known issue (would not start for the most part), I spent $1,000 more on it in repairs and maintenance- starter, new battery, A/C recharged, new rear rotors, transmission & differential service and an oil change. Grand total, $2,200, my car one previous owner and 47,000 miles on it when purchased, 52,000 miles on it now. If I could get $3,900 for my car, I would be happy! But, it's not for sale because it is serving it's purpose as a 3rd car so perfectly for us.

 

I agree. Considering it will not be used as often and will just sit there on the driveway, bakin....I had to let it go. 12 years of driving pleasure.

 

The most that I appreciate was the debugging, these were solved:
1. Sudden stop.
2. EGR.
3. 2 door handles fixed.
4. CEL on Bank 2 sensor.

Unsolved:
1. Leak in the Driver side.
2. Window scratches due to misalignment. Had several replaced with warranty.
3. Pass side door handle, did not have time to fix.
