Tire Suggestions?

TL no more!
I replaced my tires with Bridgestone Potenza G009. The grip is awesome compared to my old Michelin Pilot tires. One thing that bothers me is that the tires are on the soft side. But other than that, the tires are excellent.

Im lookin for tires as well. I've narrrowed my choices down to the following in no particular order:
1) Yokohama Avid H4s $65 500 AA A
2) BFGoodrich Traction T/A H $70 440 AA A
3) BFGoodrich Traction T/A V $79 440 AA A
4) Continental ContiExtremeContact $78 400 A A
The prices are pulled from Tirerack. V is the speed rating that Acura sanctions for our cars (149 mph) but H (130 mph) is right beside V and shouldn't matter much. Strangely, people seemed to like the T/A H better than the T/A V, probably because people that went with the V had better cars or drove more aggressively.
Does anybody have any experience with these tires?

I got the Michellin hydro edge tires. 124/each. Love it with the tread pattern and very good performance. Yokohoma tends to wear out very quick from my friend's experience.

What are you looking for? Good tread life? Comfortable ride? Handling and/or bad weather performance? Price?
If you can list the traits you think are the most important, we can throw out suggestions that will closely meet your needs.

I got yokohama avid tourings like back in december, they were already on the car when I bought it then I replaced them with the same thing. At first they're good for daily driving. Pretty nice for wet and dry conditions. If your just using it for daily driving then I'd recommend them.
If your the type of person that likes to take turns a bit faster and likes to push limits then these tires kind of suck. I took the car for a drive around terminal island yesterday. Terminal island is like a fairly empty place because it's all 18 wheelers and lots of curvy roads. Under heavy acceleration and hard braking these tires break traction kind of easily. But for street use and normal driving its fine. I'm sure most of you guys don't drive as agressive as me so almost any name brand tire is good. My personal favorite tire is the falken azenis sport but at 400 dollars for only 4-10k miles I don't think any of you guys want that.
falken ziex ze-512 is also a great tire for daily use, my friend has them on his legend.

I'm looking for good tread life and price. I don't go crazy with my car and I will probably like just about any tire since I am driving with bald tires now. I was looking at the Yokohama H4S, BF Goodrich Traction T/A H, and the Goodyear Assurance TripleTred's.
Let me know if anyone has any other suggestions or comments on the tires I am looking at.

I haven't changed tires on my TL as yet. But from the reviews I've read, I'd prefer the Goodyear Assurance TripleTred's over the BF Goodrich Traction T/A H. I dunno much about the Yokohamas. The BF Goodrich Traction is great value for $$.

I've had several on the stock wheels.
Dunlop Sports (4000 I think)
Good tire, fairly quiet, excellent grip but didnt last much past 35,000 miles
Since I do a LOT of highway driving, the stock wheels now have Toyo Ultra 800's on them. Noisy, hard and not very grippy but they are 100,000 mile tires and decent on gas. 27 mpg without even trying
On the 17's, I have Goodyear Comforttreads... SUPER quiet, comfortable and soaks up all the bumps without sacrificing handling. I think they are expected to last about 60,000 miles.

The Yoko H4s are just a little more. However, they have a shorter tread life (both observed and what the manufacturer says). They also grip a bit better under handling conditions but they are about the same in wet conditions. I would recommend these too as long as you realize you're getting less tread life out of them.
I had Goodrich T/A tires on a minivan and they wore out quicker than I would have expected from a touring tire.
The only Goodyear tires I have experience with are Eagles.
I will mention an experience I had with Goodyear Eagles and Sumitomo HTR+. I was driving along when I ran over a thing (patch? line?) of exposed rebar. Pop, I lost 3 tires at once (and almost died). Earlier, I had lost a tire to some nail so I had replaced one.
The one I had replaced was a Goodyear. Later inspection showed it lost a big chunk of thread, but it didn't pop. The Sumitomo's ate it.
This was in a Toyota Avalon. Not the TL.

I got the Yokohama AVS dB2 and they are a great tire. Very good performance, very quiet, and comfortable ride...what more could you ask for? They are reasonably priced too. I got them from Tire Rack and had a local shop install them.

nobody recommended the KUMHO's?? Their tires have always amazed me on their quality and Price. I have never had a problem with them other than when I PUT the 18 Z rated on my 3000GT, the rears cupped after 10K miles. But for touring tires, they are perfect(quiet, realiable and predictable).
