You can adjust a tension bar inside your door panel to stop the noise. Cleaning out the bar will also solve your scratching problem. Do a search for the directions. They were posted a while back.

That is where the felt/ window guide touches the window.

If you tint your windows on a 3rd gen TL, the shop needs to install a guard strip (soft material) on the inside part of where the window rolls up and touches the groove. Costs like 20 bucks more per window. Make sure you use a shop that knows about this prob w/TL's, or the top of your tint will rub off.
Otherwise, it will eventually scratch the top (inside layer) of your tint, and it is VERY delicate. Even if you have a habit to take off your setabelt and throw it up as it rolls back (like a real gangster should ), if it touches the inside of the window AT ALL, it will chip your tint. Flicking ashes off a cigarette will do it, too.
Yeah. 3 days you can't roll down your windows, prob. longer this time of year. Better to tint in the summer..dries faster.

so the scratches on the window, are they on the inside or outside of the window?, b/c if the scratches are on the outside than the tints shouldn't get scratched since they are on the inside of the window. am i correct?

I just got my windows tinted last week.
The scratches are on the outside......I actually only noticed the scratches because i got tint, haha.
Don't worry about scratching your tint when rolling up/down windows.....the debris is on the outside.
I also have squeeky windows, and it's embarrassing. i need to take my door panels off and clean all the internal tracks and glass under there.
