Question Are There Any Negatives???

Are there any negatives for removing the Mudflaps on the TL? I was thinking of doing that and just painting the side skirts!

yeah mud's going to get EVERYWHERE!!!! haha i don't know. probably not a big deal. it would probably prevent some paint chips from the pebbles thrown up by the wheels.

Where would the paint chip? Wouldn't the pebbles only hit the underside of the car though? Not the bumper and stuff right?

I don't have mudflaps on my TL, however with 45 offset wheels, it does throw up a lot of junk off the road which hits the entire lower side of your car. You can really notice it when driving over dead leaves when the road is wet. The leaves stick to the side of the car.

I would imagine any sand or fine materials are constantly sandblasting your car which is noticeable when you wax your car. This is probably more so here in Vancouver, BC where it rains a lot. Lucky guys in the southern states with all that sunshine!
