Like the title says, does anyone know the stock amperage of a 1996 2.5 TL's alternator? i dont have my manual because i threw it away by accident. Also does anyone know if a theres a Yellow Top Optima battery that fits in the car? any help would be appreciated Thanks in advance

 

Stock on the 2.5 = 100 amps
Stock on the 3.2 = 110 amps

 

thats more than i thought it would have.....well apprently its not enough cause about 1400 watts are almost turning off my lights and after i put the flipdown monitor its going to be worse

I have a 97 2.5 tl and with my pioneer amp(760w)(fuse 60amp) the light almost turn off and my RPM drop off 500rpm......and I have a 1farad capacitor(stinger).......what I need ?? a bigger batterie or a alternator???

my lights used to dim all the time..... and i have a 1 farad audio bahn cap! i got a new navi HU and it doesnt any more!! wierd huh?

 

thats cause caps dont do anything....you need a bigger alt....which is why i wanted to know what i already have.....but im thinking of getting a 200amp irragi alt soon

 

You'll need a sub-battery. I have the factory battery under the hood and an Optima Red Top in the trunk just for my audio.....no more dimming, idle drop,etc.
I have a 4 gauge wire from front battery (+) to the subbattery. Subbattery grounded to the body in the trunk.
