Steering Wheel Options

Well I decided that my next endeavor will be to replace my raggedy ass steering wheel. Right now I have the factory one, but after the sweaty man who drove it prior to myself tore it up, it has a big ugly cover on it.

What are my options?

Can I buy a replacement steering wheel without paying 400 bucks for a new one from Acura or acuraautomotiveparts.org?

Is there a new leather grip kit that I can buy from Acura?

I have managed to locate a few wheels on Ebay from 2nd gen TLs, and they are pretty cheap. They look identical to our wheels except for the horn placement. Does anyone know if a 2nd Gen TL steering wheel will fit our 1st Gen. Will I still be able to hook my horn up?

Has anyone told Acura that the 1st Gen steering wheel is a piece of nasty crap!?!?

You could get a leather kit from a dealership for 50 or 60 bucks

Hmmm, not bad price wise... Certainly worth it... Does anyone have pics of steering wheel re-leathered?

I did a search and it was surfingscotty who has it. Can't find anymore of the pictures of the wood steering wheel.....

you'll have to pay $600 up front and then when they receive ur old steering wheel they'll give you $200 back. so total cost is $400 and it's better than getting the plain steering wheel from acura or acuraautomotiveparts.org that cost about the same

I bought a used one from a junkyward which was in very good condition.
I replaced it myself. took me about an hour.
I had to buy a steering wheel puller , only $15.00.
I had to take it out about 3 time before I could get the auto turn signal shut off to work.
