steering tightens after car heats up
is it just me or does your guys steering feel nice and "acura" like. what i mean is the nice loose feeling. seems like mine tightens up a bit after i drive a little while. if this something normal or known? change steering fluid?

It gets tighter based upon several factors.. mainly the amount of torque sensed.

ok my was stiff as fuck and the steering wheel wouldnt return back.. next thing i know my lower right ball joint was seizing up and it was soo worned out that it poped right out messing up my wheel
i replaced upper and lower balls joints and from that on never had a problem steering wheel nice and loose at low speeds and tight at high.

i love a car that has a sensitive steering wheel. i drove my uncles jag (the old school expensive ones) and it had bad steering..i guess low to no fluid or something but i got big guns just driving that thing over the summer.

Of course, our steering is speed and torque sensitive.

ken: complete flush of powersteering fluid 2 years ago. I think they put some valvoline maxlife stuff in instead of Honda OEM fluid. Could be that?
lmushock: We're not talking about speed. A given turn at 5mph, 1min after starting the car, is slightly easier to do than the same turn at 5mph, 30min after starting the car.
EDIT: If I had to make a guess, I'd say that its because the fluid isn't Honda. I don't remember this phenomenon happpening when I first got the car a few years back.
