Starting Problems
Ok, guys, for you in the know, I need some feedback....
I have seen at least 3 occassions where when I click the Ignition, it just gives me a dead click...so turning, just click, and when I re-try, I get a normal ignition turn.....
I measured the voltage during normal running and I see 14 volts. I see 13 volts on the battery terminal, when car is turned off.
Is this a Battery issue?
Is this a Starter issue?
Before I give my money away to the dealer, same me some money, if it is the Battery, I will get one. If it is the starter, then my Acura Care will cover the repair. But an educated user, wins in the end.
Thanks.

Definitely a starter issue. It is receiving power, hence the CLICK noise of the starter hammer. The contacts lose their copper over time, making an electrical connection far more difficult.
Get it fixed under warranty

Will this be a contacts only issue? Not a Motor issue? Just the same, servicing the Starter is a big job.
Will they try to get me to replace the battery, which in my gut feel, they will do? I did measure the voltage and it give me 13 V between the terminals, I still have a punch on my battery. And my Alternator looks ok, too. Should I take it to Autozone for evaluation?
Thanks again.

The cost is paying someone to remove it, takes about 2 hours to remove and put it back in. The drivers side wheel has to be removed and possibly part of the axle.
