Question SRS Light

Hello, I am new to the forum and need some advice on an issue. My SRS Light on dashboard came on and won't go off on my 97TL, can that be fixed by me or do I have to take it to the dealer for an expensive diagnosis and fix?0 Any help on this topic is appreciated.

You might want to have the airbag looked at. These are supposed to be replaced every 10 years, so it looks like you should have about 3 years to go. Don't forget to have the passenger side airbag checked out too. If you fail to do this, the airbag might not deploy if you're in an accident.

Thanks for the input. I took the car to the dealer and it cost me nothing. It was a power surge while changing bulbs that caused the SRS light to come on. Everything is fine now. Thanks again.

I didn't know that the airbags had to be changed every ten years. That's good info to know. Thanks.
