Spring/Strut question

I have a 98 2.5 TL and I was thinking of lowering it like about 1.5 inches. I was wondering if i could use the stock struts with the aftermarket springs. I heard that it would reduce the life of our struts, but i wanted to know by how much. My car already has 166k miles so you think if i install the springs now, would the struts last like less than a month? I dont want to have to spend like 1k just to lower my car 1 1/2 inches. Also I would like to know how much shops generally charge to install springs. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

in my opinion bro
your car has like the same mileage as mine and im lowering my car right now...
with the amount of mileage we have, we are much better off changing everything out...(i think anyways)
aftermarket struts will run you about $500
springs will run you anywhere from $100-$250
coilovers(sleeves not the full thing) will run you about $300+
install at a shop may run anywhere from $100+

theres also a DIY if you got the time to do it yourself also
