Splash Guard Rattling How Can I Stop It?

Hello I need help with this I have a 97 3.2 Tl and I have had this rattling noise coming from my front driver side wheel when i drive on "not so smooth" roads. I hate hearing it. A couple days ago I changed my oil and pounded on the tire and made the rattling sound, I have discovered it is the splash guard. How can I get that to stop, its making my car sound like crap. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem? Please tell me its an easy fix I want to fix it like yesterday. Thanks in advance.

turn your stereo up a little bit.....

Look if you are missing any bolts or the press in things I can't recall what they are called, that hold that piece together...

No, but I am missing one press in thing so when turning right, left front tire rubs against it. Its not loud but noticeable when music is down but that is a rare thing....

I think I am talking about the right thing. Post pics if you can, that will help a plenty...

Oh also i dont know if i was using the right name for the part thats rattling i said splash guard and its the splash guard for the brake idk if its also called the backing plate for the brake. But its not the plastic splash guard under the fender this thing is sound like metal shaking or rattling.

If it is just the front bumper spoiler (an foot long plastic piece held by screws, see part #6 in the front bumper part list at http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org/...s=&view=normal) you can remove it from your car. Since the noise is so loud it is probably some metal parts so you might want take it to a mechanic to check it out (when you change the oil)... Good luck!

at confusion.

Anyway...

Take the wheel off and see if anything is missing. If it is then you can probably just DIY.

whats rattling is the backing plate behind my front driver side brake, i checked it today and it doesn't seem to be loose or missing any bolts it might have gotten bent and was vibrating against the caliper, so i just bent it back a little so far no more rattling yet, hopefully it wont do it again thanks for the help guys.

glad you solved your problem. another thing notorious for rattling is the heat shield on the catalytic converter.
