Special tools for Timing Belt Replacement?

What special tools do I need to change the timing belt on a 96 3.2? I've done a lot of my own work, and my fiance's dad is a mechanic, so I'll call him if I get into any trouble. I need to know what tools I will possibly need beyond the standard socket, wrenches, etc...?

I pretty much figured it out online...looks like you only need the crank pulley removal tool and some serious breaker bar action. Thank god it's SOHC, otherwise I don't think I'd even attempt this.

Screw it, got the parts for $362 and my Fiance's Dad's shop is going to do labor for $400. That's reasonable.

All OEM parts?? I won't use aftermarket, not worth the cost difference IMO.

I didn't know the timing belt change job could be that expensive. I'm doing it myself.

Alright, I know parts are $360 at mechanics cost, so you're saying they did 6.3 hours labor (what all 9 shops I called told me for a quote) for $120?? You had to have known someone.

Most shops I called didn't even break under $1200, local Acura Stealership wanted $1340.

I tell you what. Those are too expensive. The brand new genuine Acura timing belt and the adjuster roller bearing will cost you less than $100. The timing belt alone will cost you less than $40. I don't know what state you live in but those mechanics are overcharging you for their big mouth, not their labor. Those crooks have been watching that stupid monster garage and the trick my truck too long.

I have 235k on the clock and I went thru 2 timing belt replacement. First one was around $735.00 and 2nd one was $812.00.
Both were done at acura dealer.
So, $1200.00 is way too much.

Really, everywhere I called in Chicago was right around $1200. I feel grateful that I'm getting it done for $760. I wonder what are other people in big cities (i.e. NYC, LA, or CHI) paying for this type of work? Standard labor rate in my area is $90-$100/hour depending on the shop.
