Oh you asked a question... sorry... let me clean this keyboard up... ... ...
For clarity... The lows is the easiest thing to hook up... sooo maybe working on your mids and highs first...
For some good components with clear sound i've heard the Kicker RS6c is good and clear... its about $300 but you can probably find it for $200... $150 at the least... Comes with your 2 6.5" Mid and 2 Tweets if i'm correct...
Although i perfer Audiobahn... but maybe sticking to the same brand of receiver would be best...

i have infinity kappa's and they sound really good in my opinion, they can really handle power and most importantly the clarity stays when you raise the volume, not much distortion at all. they are a little pricey though. so in your case id go with some pioneer's or alpine type R which has gotten pretty good reviews . but if u wanna go balls out, can't go wrong with infinity, focal, or MB quarts... good luck

how much are you willing to spend??
Clarity-you need some mids (doors 6.5" and tweeters). there are combo of both mids and tweeters called "components" and there are diff brands you can choose from, depending on your budget. high quality components are Focal, JL, infinity, mb quart, Boston acoustic, Digital design, Diamond audio, alpine, ...
Bass-you will need subwoofers. you can find those on ebay easily or you can maybe go to a pawn shop and find you some...maybe flea market??? high quality subwoofers are JL Audio, Digital design, Alpine, rockford fosgate, kicker, image dynamic, ...
Amplifier-these will be most important. If you get a sub that is powerful, 400RMS and up, you will need a powerful amp to push it. or if you get an expensive component, you will need an aftermarket amp to push that too if you want clarity..dont rely on the amp of your head unit, its not enough.
all of this should be powered by aftermarket head unit. DO not use a stock radio or your motorized flip out screen to power your speakers and subs. Buy you an aftermarket head unit. I would suggest alpine or eclipse but its whatever you want.

In my lifetime, I have installed or have had an Infinity, Sony, Kenwood,Blaunpunkt,Pioneer, and polk speakers. Most of them went back on eBay. I love the 4-way Pioneer 6.5 and 6x9 speakers. They are crisp and clear. Ofcourse you will need an amp to get the best out of them.
I tried to push my speaker to the limit thats why I have 11 speakers.
2=6.5
2=6x9
2=roof center speakers
2=tweeters
1= indash center speaker
2=Blaunpunkt flat 10' subwoofers mounted under the front seats.
I have a one amp, Bazooka, to power the subwoofers.
The rest is just from the head unit. 50watt per channel.
In the future I want to try and put 2 more speaker on the 2 rear doors.
But I think I have to cut a hole. Did anyone did it before? How hard is it to cut the hole for a new speaker?

Boston Acoustics
One of the best sounds out there is Boston Acoustics. They're famous for their Z component systems retailed at $1000. I have the step below it, the boston Pro 6.5 Components. They are the best i've heard. a Set of those are around $450, but they make a lot more models for 200-300 that still sound amazing. and of Course, you have to power them with an external amplifier to get the best sound. I'd recommend Mb Quart for amps, or higher-up Rockford, MTX, or Alpine. I have one JL Audio 12-inch W3 for the bass, with an Alpine mono amp. it kicks.

Werd. My friend has this amp and he's selling it:

His is not stock though. It's modified with the Burr Brown chip upgrade. VERY powerful amp. I would use one if I didn't already have my JBL
