These are some pics of one of my parents video stores. We actually sold it back in 96. My dad actually opened all 3 stores in 1978. We were one of the first video rental stores in the United States. In 1996 we had 2 video rental stores, and a video production store. We sold the other rental store in 99. Right now we just have the video production part of it. And that's where I work. We sold the 2 rental stores because my dad got good offers for them. Anyway, the first 4 pics are just to show you one of the stores. I worked at all 3 all the time. It was a lot of fun. Although, growing up, every mother you know what wanted a job or free movies. That was normal though.

K now these pics are nuts. One night in 1996, a lady coming to rent a movie decided to space out, and drove right through our store. I was working with 3 other employees that night. I saw the whole thing. The 3 other employees jumped over the counter when the van was coming in, I just stood there in shock. I didn't move a foot. It was a Fridaynight, one of our busiest rental nights, and it was around 7 pm. Luckily my dad had designed the store to where all of the new releases were on the outer walls. That's where everybody was. I think back going wow, some people could have been killed instantly. We were always walkin through those isles putting movies away, etc. If anybody had been within those 4 rows of movies, they'd been killed. So thankgod no one got it. Let me tell you, it was a sight to see. We have part of it on tape, but the camera was at an angle, pretty crazy to watch. I called my dad and says dad get down here, someone just drove into our store. When he arrived he couldnt believe what had happened. Just thought, I'd share with you guys.
