silver ACURA logo on steering wheel

I'd like to make the ACURA logo on my steering wheel stand out a little bit, and I think the easiest and cleanest way to do it would be to overlay a silver ACURA sticker on top of the existing logo.

Has anyone ever seen this done or know where I could get something like that? Also, any other ideas on how to make the steering wheel logo stand out?

Whatever you do, don't go putting a badge or something on it... could be VERY painful if the airbag ever goes off!!!! I'd be very leary about sticking anything to that portion of the steering wheel.

Ya that's a good point about the airbag. I never would have thought of that. But ya I agree, be cool to make the A stand out.

Why wouldn't you put the emblem on the steering wheel? Most airbag covers don't fly off and hit the driver/passenger in the face....they simply flip open, and have a pivot point on the bottom.

I was going to do this but never got around to it. Be aware that the real "ACURA" emblem is larger than what is printed on the steering wheel. Also, if you are going to go the sticker route, make sure you take your time and make it fill perfectly..ya know?

Good luck.

Honda airbags actually split in the middle. when the bag comes out at it's enormous velocity, it could very easily send that litle piece of plastic flying, or worse, just stay on the front of the bag so that when you hit it, that is what your face hits. Wouldn't be the most pleasant experience. Not saying it is GOING to happen, but I would probably not do it myself, just based on the remote possibility. Just me :twocents:

actualy i have tried to do this .....came oooo so close too. a friend of mine was workin at a junk yard and there was an old legend with a nose bra. it had an acura emblem on the front in silver that you could peel off and it was actualy the right size and each letter was individual. i asked him to get it for me and i dunno how it happened but all i ended up getting was the A C U R ....no A . anyway thats one way to do it but not reallie the smartest if u dont luck out and find a nose bra no one wants and decide to destroy but other than that ...use ur imagination bro cause yea it would look sweet, especialy with those sticker things they sell for the headrests.

I was thinking about painting the indent with pearl white (same as my exterior) but the tan interior really sucks and it just wouldn't work.

I think thats so ghettofied..

Off on a tangent here but about things flying and hurting you while in an accident, A friend of mine had a license plate on the dash and the plate flew backwards and went straight out the back windshield during an accident. a few inches closer and he'd be decapitated.
