I will have to do that soon too! I haven't customized my car at all. Ever since I bought my car...I just added a wide angle mirror (helps me see much better), air freshener, and Kuan Yin (sp?).

I have thought about doing it, but I sort of like how it is now. Does the finish come out nice and smooth if you do it right? And what is Kuan Yin?

She's a goddess that'll protect my car. I have her and a crystal ball thing, which represents safety, hanging on my mirror. It's a traditional thing for peace of mind.

I'm sorry. It came out as a-hole-ish. It's just a waste of bandwidth and space because you don't do searches first. It's a petpeeve of mine because there're threads already mentioned and yet, people are starting new threads asking or telling the exact same thing. It's irritating for me. So I apologize for posting. I'll refrain.

yea it came out surprisingly smooth.... i thought since it was plastic that the chrome would come off too if i let it sit too long, but looks great if u wipe it with a clean cloth mmmm mmmmm

yea but i used some spray on paint thinner we had at work, i was goin to the dealer to get the part for the tail light and thought i would try this and if i messed up then i would just get the RL shift gate but i got it right hehe. anyway im not sure wat its called ill post the name tonight after i get home and its real easy to take off the plate. get a flathead screw driver wrap it in some cloth so u dotn scratch the wood finish and pry the blck part off ( the thn around the shift gate), after thats off, the gate is held in place by 4 ....clips? anyway one on each corner, pry that off and youre good to go. will try to post pics tonite, cause as much heat as i thought id catch from posting this ppl do seem interested .
