Saddend loss

Hello to all who have helped me on this forum. As of last week my girlfriend wrecked my baby. The insurance company totalled it yester day. Her eis why it was totalled.

1997 2.5 tl (cleanest one Acura dealer has ever seen) market value= 5178.00
Insurance companies only pay 65% of market value for repair or vehicle is totalled.
Repair cost for new hood, light assys, bumper, front apron, no fender damage.=
5400.00.

This sucks, you cant even buy a good car and keep it nice, and get it fixed. So they say I can buy it back for 1200.00 . so $5178 minus $500 deductable Minus
$1200 equals $3478 left and a car that would never be the same. The mechanics are druling over this car. I'm sure they want to buy it at auction. The damage is not bad, but parts even used are hard to come by. Anyone know of a reputablely inexpensive body shop in Houston. Well, I guess I wont be on the forum too much at least until I find a good 99 RL. See ya all and thank you again for all the help.

for your car... make a few calls around.. see what they can do as far as price... you have any pics of the damage??? maybe a few of us on here can help you find some parts...

from what it sounds like, the frontal damage of the car may create frame issues... did your airbags go off???
