96tl,
I notice that you have your tail light the orange part painted black. Redeye had his painted red, that i can imagine how it would look. How do yours look at night? |
maxx. you got a pic of redeyes tails? want to see how red looks.

Originally posted by 96TL They still flash orange of course just a little dimmer. Cops have been behind me ALOT of times and I haven't gotten pulled over. I think it looks so much better then stock. Its a pain to do it. The key is to tape up around the blinker perfectly then its easy from there. I just sprayed alot of thin coats. why did you use black paint, instead of red? |
when i spray painted my tail lights, i took them off of my car just in case i accidentally pray painted the car instead of the lights. the color was "candy apple red" i believe. you can get that at any hobby store. i think you have to put on about 4 coats to match the same color as the brake lights. mine turned out pretty good. you have to make sure that there aren't any "blobs" of paint gathering at the corners, and if there are, use a wet towel and softly blot at them. always wait till the previous coat is try and then put the next coat on.
