Rear dash speaker replacement

I'm trying to replace the 6x9's in the back dash of my 2.5 TL and I have no idea how to get the mesh grills off to be able to get to the bolts.

Any hints, or tips on how to get the mest covers off withough tearing them up?

There are 3 (i belive) screws under the back dash on each speaker cover, you'll have to crawl into the trunk and use a flashlight to look up at the speakers...you just unscrew those and the mesh grill's will just pop off. I didnt even put the screws back in, i lost one and it doesnt really make a difference, so mine are just sitting in the back dash...they dont seem to rattle as is.

i can see the long "goldish" looking screws you are talking about, but i only see the end that like a "nut" would go on, no screw end to unscrew the mesh covers

There are 3 or 4 screws that hold the grille into place. Like Boarder said, you will have to crawl into your trunk with a flashlight to make it easier and look for these screws, they are very easy to find. Look at Kamlungs second pic. You can see 3 holes 1 o'clock, 7 o'clock and 10 o'clock roughly. Look for those holes from inside the trunk, from the bottom end. There will be little black screws that u need to loosen or remove. Once those are loose or gone, the grille will come right out.

This is a perfect picture of what i am talking about. There are screws in the three holes that u can see in this pic. Loosen those screws and the grille will come off.
