Shouldn't hurt or help much of anything. The computer can retard the timing for low octane fuel but it really can't advance it for 100 octane.

I believe it's all in your head if you are feeling a difference. Unless it's VERY hot then your car should not detonate. The higher the octane the slower it burns. Cars run best on the type of gas they were designed to run from the factory, which is determined by compression and timing.

The advantage to running a higher octane gas in a blown, high compression, or nitrous application is to prevent detonation. On a stock or near stock TL, 94 is plenty of octane to prevent detonation. Severe detonation is bad because it can cause engine damage. But in computer controlled cars the knock sensor will sense detonation and retard the timing, which will slow the car down... So as long as you run enough octane to prevent your car from detonating you are fine. Which 94 should be plenty.

I know that a higher octane gas may even slow your car down. For instance 98+ Mustang GTs are designed to run on 87 octane and I have seen dyno tests where they lost power by running a high octance gas...

Ok didn't mean for that to be so long To sum up: don't waste your money

well i did notice a difference and no it wasnt a BIG difference, i said throtle response was a little better.and higher rpm seemed a little better, i wouldnt waste your money on it i had some left over so i used about 7 gal of it in a empty tank

The guys who posted above are pretty much all correct.
I noticed couple of repeat of comments which I agree with.

In California a lot of guys MIX, wont go 100% racing fuel.

Also the biggest difference you will get with our TL's is ... at $5 bucks per Gal (10 Gal = $50 Bucks), your wallet will be a bit lighter. Maybe the less weight could shave off an extra 1/80 of a second per 1/4 mile?

:-)
