Wow that's some cheap stuff. I wonder if it's the real thing or just hyper white bulbs connected to a metal box.
Oh a question for HID kit people...
I hear you don't have high beams anymore. Is that true? I use highbeams often because of where I drive and also to signal to other drivers about stuff.

its true but there are also kits available where you can have both low beam and high beam as hid's and those cost a bit more than the kits withi just regular low beam.

The good? The look nice and is more light on the road.
The bad? expensive for a good set. There are some really generic brands out there now and I hear some bad stories. You can try www.hidforum.com and they will pretty much tell you what is good or bad.
There was a set of Korean brand that was good, called.... Max or K2... something like that sold on midnightmoose.
McCullouch, from what I heard is bad. I have not owned a set but they say within a year expect problems. These are usually the ones on eBay.
Catz WAS a good brand but have gone out of business in the US.
Philips is always known as a good brand as well as Hella ballasts. The bulbs they say OSRAM and Philips as well. Other ppl on the forum went with generic bulbs and are happy. MUCH cheaper and their logic is, it is cheaper to own two pair that doesnt last as long as a expensive pair of Philips that last.
Depends on your loot and what you plan to spend.
Btw, those are probably an OK price.
Philips does not make an 8000k Kit. A friend owns a K2/MAX 8000k Kit, still going at 2.5 years.
The don't ever go for $800 as the website says. I think i've seen them go for $275 on ebay or so. I've seen some local stores charge $500, big ripoff.

Like the old addage says. You get what you pay for. Try to do a little more research. I was told that 8000k doesnt have anymore light output than 6000k and that the output is actually a little less. I guess its just matter of color preference. Dont jump the gun too early.

I have to McCullouch 5600K system and they have been going strong for 2 years now. Look great and the install was very simple. I did lose my highbeams but the lights are bright enough that i dont really need them, they would just be "nice". Also i use my fog lights to signal other drivers and what not now. You can see how they look on my cardomain web site uner UA3 INSPIRE

yeah i do the same thing... 8000k i don't think is much worth the extra money... 6000k is enough.... i mean you really don't need high beams in dark areas anymore cause HID's just light up everything....
i am just slownlow... i usually just drive with my fogs on at night and when i need to flash ppl i use the regular beams to flash... the fogs have a 6000k kit in there so it bright enough withouth the regular headlights.. i just use all four if it is bad weather out or in a really dark place...

Just to let you guys know, these HID kits are illegal for street use in most states and soon to be in every state. Some places are pulling them off the shelves all together. The reason for this is that the headlight housing is not designer for the higher output, resulting in blinding oncoming drivers. Cars that have HID from the factory have headlight housings that direct the light down more, preventing this. Just my .

Has anyone heard of a hid company called Brightstar? The company is from Taiwon. I saw they had a group buy for these hid's on another site and they had dual beam h4's for 335 shipped assuming they got enough people at any temperature you wanted. they had normal single beam for 315 so it was only a 20 dollar difference.

If you're gonna them then get the brand "HELLA." That's what I have and I love them. It's kind of pricey though since its considered a high end HID brand. I think you can pick one up from ebay for 400.
