Question about removing paint (not the car paint)

Good evening fellow TL'ers. WOW last time I logged in was on Nov 11, 2006. Dam.. long time ago. Anyhow, I welcome the new members. I see a lot of new people here.

Ok, here's my question. I was driving and I got paint splattered on my car. I was driving by a constructions site and the workers were painting something and the paint somehow got on my car. It's only a little bit here and there but its really annoying the hell outta me. I tried using paint thinner but that doesn't work. Any suggestions from anyone on how to get rid of the paint? Clay sand? Goo Gone? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

or try claying it off. I repainted my window trim black cause it started to fade and got a little overspray on the car, I just clayed it off, then waxed.

I have a sponge that I bought in Japan that took all the paint from another car off my rear passenger door. It's available here in the states as well, I believe, and it's really cheap. Somewhere around $1 to $1.50. I don't know if you can get it in NY since you don't have a Japantown. You can try a Magic Eraser (Mr. Clean) for about $4, that's pretty similar.

~Cheers~

HOLD ON! isn't the mr clean eraser like a very fine sanding block? That sounds like a terrible idea for a clear coat. I've read on autopia.org that mr clean on paint is like murder. bad idea

Well, the type I have was made for situations like this, and didn't mess with my paint at all... Could be true about the Magic Eraser, though...

~Cheers~
