Hey guys, brand new to this site and the Acura world and was hoping I could get some help . I just purchased(yesterday) a 96 2.5tl and am already having problems. Driving home the transmission gearshift light started flashing and the car started shifting really hard. When I pulled over and put the car in park, the light for drive was still flashing. Only after I shut the car off and put it back in drive did it stop. It drove fine the rest of the way home but I am now worried about the transmission on this car I just bought. The car has 100K miles on it. Have any of you experienced this or know of transmission problems with these cars? I would really appreciate any comments or help. Thanks

 

there's literally no mention of transmition problems in this forum for a loooong time. the 1st gen TL's have very reliable transmitions in my opinion. i would get it checked out never the less since each car is different and has been through different conditions.
