i read that you're not suppose to remove the needle... from the looks of it, it doesn't seem to be rubbing.. then again, i wouldn't know until i take everything off again.... the two screws holding the indiglo isn't affecting the movement of the needle so it isn't the needle bumping up againts the screws. it MIGHT be that the indiglo is coming up off the face on one corner....
BUT what IF the needle isn't rubbing against the indiglo? is there a way to remedy it? could it be that i funked up the needle somehow? the indiglos WERE a tight fit.. have to struggle with it to put it on.

Oh ok you didnt remove the needle? Then the guage is probably rubbing somewhere. I've heard of some people putting a couple of drops of epoxy to hold the guage down but you'll ruin your $600 cluster. Indiglos are definitely not nice enough for that. I learned the hard way when I retrofited Accord indiglos before they made them for TLs. What a waste of time and money. Good luck and let me know how else I can help. If its not the guage rubbing on the needle and it keeps doing that then the guage is most likely screwed up.

ok, i spent 3 1/2 hours this afternoon taking apart the dash and the gauge cluster to find out what the problem was.... it was the indiglo face that was obstructing the needle... i took off the indiglo off from the gauge cluster and used 1500 grit wet sand paper from work and dry sanded the hole where the needle is... i sanded the hole making it bigger/wider for easier installation and to make the indiglo smoother so the needle can move freely. i then had to hook up the gauge cluster, turn the car on, and rev'd the engine to see if it still stuck.. it still stuck... i unhooked and hooked the gauge up to the car 3 times before it stopped sticking... i also used double sided tape to tape the indiglo in place....

"Clean" as in easy to read. You want something that has good contrast. White numerals with a BLACK background. White gauges just don't cut it.
The TSX and new Accord have nice BRIGHT lettering with a black background, making it very easy to read.
