Oil in a spark plug housing

I changed my plugs today and found little bit of oil around the plug wire and plug it selft on the # 2 plug. Only plug #2 had oil, rest were ok and dry.
Anybody knows if it is a sign of anything big to come ? What would cause it ?

Call your local Acura Stealership and ask...

its a little BIGGIE!!! Oil in the sparkplug area means you have a leak

Put oil on a match and see what happens... Same with a sparkplug but it will try to keep igniting and one day... MISSFIRE

It probably wasn't tightened correctly... or it might be a seal...

Change all of them... wait until your next oil change... Check them again... if there is oil on them then it might be the seal covering Plug #2...

its not a biggie dude relax i have the same thing.. just a little oil in there.. never missed fire.. its good to fix it though... if its major only then it will miss fire.. after a while the seals go so wasnt tightened correctly isnt the reason..

I spoke to the guy at my local garage today and dude said that it's good fix it but not a biggie. He did not seem to be much concerned.
It's the seal that needs to be replaced.
He gave me a ball park amount and that is around $150.00.
I will probably get that fixed soon once there is little flow of money.

Its sounds to me like your O-Ring Gasket is old and needs replacement.

Go to Acura and Pick up a New Valve Cover Gasket and make sure they give you the O-Rings as well so that way you can replace them all. When you replace the Gaskets and put back in your spark plugs you will notice a bit of blue smoke comming out of your Exhaust when you start up and the car is left running for a few minutes. Dont worry about that its just a little bit of oil possibly fell into the combustion chamber thru the spark plug housing. So its just burning out. But its not that bad of a problem.

The gasket kit costs about 20-30 bucks and you could install it yourself or have a mechanic do it for you. It would take a mechanic about 20 minutes to do and he will charge you about 50-70 bucks.

Good luck but I think thats the problem and wouldnt worry too much.

Thanks for the advice.
Can you give me a little bit of "how-to install "valve cover and O-rings ?
