Oh man.. sad but funny...

hey everyone.. well i actually went outside today to work on the car and when they say curiosity killed the cat.. its true... i was looking at my signals and then saw that there was moisture in there... knowing the anal and impatient me i took them out and put them next to the dehumidifier... it took so long i got pissed so i ran and got the hair dryer... stood there for like another 20 mins.. still not dry.. said fvck it and put them in the oven... let them sit for a few and then turned off the oven... i turned off the oven but left the lights in there and ran outside to check on the car.. dumb me forgot abotu them and came in 20 mins later to find that my signals were all warped and melted... oh man.. well surprisingly i wasn't mad, i just laughed and then went outside to put my stock signals back on.. man now i gotta wait for a new pair.. hopefully they won't persperate and this won't happen again...

stupid me huh???

Damn sorry to hear that, I know I have the same problem with moisture in my drivers side side marker too.

Dont feel too bad I spent $450 on the Inspire tails a year ago and when tried to remove the amber i used a heat gun and when I tried to pry it open slowly I cracked one of the lenses. So that sucks royally.

Damn that sucks KaMLuNg, but BobbysTL, that sucks even more! What did you do? Do you still have one Inspire tail left and both stock tails? You can take a cover off the stock tail and put it on the Inspire. I would get it done professionally. Send it to Streeteffectz.

kamlung: That sucks that that had to happen but if you look at it, those lights were defective anyway, by melting your lights you just forced yourself to get another pair, and hopefully this time the lights won't be defective. peAce

Are they the Inspire blinkers or aftermarket? How much were they?

They are the 4piece clear bumper lights. The outside piece on both sides has condensation. The middle ones seem to be ok.. Oh and I paid ~100 bucks.. Is there an easy fix for this? Do you know if it'll hurt anything to leave em like that till spring? It's freezing outside, and just keeping the car clean is about killing me.. I hate winter..

thanks,
Sam

Just leave them in your house for a few days and put a bead of clear silicone around them. I did it to mine a long time ago and it never happened again.

Where can I find those? I've only found $75.00 - $100.00 clear corners from Nopi.com, autoparts.com, and rtautosports.com?
