NOS on a TL??
I've always wondered if it would be kinda cool to hit the button and take off. I think it would be cooler if I could hit the button in my stock 1996 2.5TL and beat some lil rice rockets.... has anyone ever thought about putting it on our cars, i know it might be extreme but it would be kinda cool to have everyone once in awhile... also what would be the biggest shot you would do on a stock engine??
i dont really know much about it, so all info would be great
thanks

yeah...I'm interested too. Don't know much about it either, but I have a feeling it wouldn't be that great for our engines, not really sure though. Anyone have nos on their TL, 1st or 2nd gen?

Perhaps you two should go and ask this dude out... seem that he's already ahead of you two about NOS in TL.

There is an ICQ number on the site. I don't know if that's his ICQ #. Perhaps you should try that number and find the email from there. That's another way to find out his email address.

that guy is definitely an exception...he has enough mods to his engine that I would be surprised if he didn't have nos. He has a lot of custom work done too, including an exhaust. I'm not gonna drop that kind of loot just to put nos in my car, and Im not sure if you can put it straight w/ a stock engine. I would like to get an exhaust first and maybe an intake.

generally a rule of thumb is to spray no more then half the amount of HP ur engine has.... lets say u have 178 / 2 = 89 shot... not saying that is safe still but if you plan to spray often you will need your head rebuilt, piston rings, headgasket, lower the compression etc.. But if you plan to spray lets say 30 shots - 50 once in awhile it should be safe. you will need to upgrade your fuel system definately, better spark plugs, fuel pump, regulator. etc..

ReQuest couldn't have said it better.. If you plan on squeezing, you'd have to redo your heads, pistons, etc.. but you don't really have to unless your squeezing 50 shots or so...which isn't much for our cars. I had an accord ex and i was nos'ing 50 shots with a stock engine with no problem. Well i had the basic bolt ons..intake, headers, exhaust, ignition wires, spark plugs, clutch and a short shifter and my car was running fine. Our cars should handle 50 shots easily (2.5 TL's).. but if you want maybe 75-100 shots, you might want to do some major engine work. How many hp does 3.2 have??? 200hp's?? thats just my opionion...hope it works out and tell me if you ever smoke those slammed civics

I have considered NOS. They have a kit from VENOM and can be programmed by your PC. I may get it soon.
PS. This yellow TL owner is my idol! I want to try to make my car as cool as his.

i've been giving this NOS thing serious thought. still can't find the right kit for us though. i keep hearing conflicting advice. some say we can use a dry kit other says it's not good. the only kit that i found was a dry shot one. someone enlighten me before i go make a stupid mistake.
