Just bought six used coil packs from a 1st Gen. Acura RL for $54 nice price right? So my question is if there is a way to check the resistance on them before installing and how to do that anyone?

Oh no the tip of the boot was tearing inside the coil itself and allowing oil in. See for yourself what I'm taking about. You're right though I think I need new gaskets again fuc*&^% Fel-Pro BS.![](http://i1013.photobucket.com/albums/af256/INDAMO209/100_7619.jpg)

For those who would like to know how to check for resistance (ohms) on the coil packs. Here's what an article said ....Check the primary resistance on each coil. Set your ohmmeter to the 10 ohms range. Touch the terminal B+ (usually the center prong on the coil pack electrical connector) with one of the meter test leads, and touch the corresponding coil prong on the electrical connector with the other test lead. You may get a reading between 0.3 and 1.0 or more, depending on your particular model.
Compare your resistance readings to the specifications given on your vehicle service manual.
Mine read between 1.2-1.4.
