My Love, my Passion, my Acura...
I just felt like posting some pics and shedding a little light on who I am and what I have done in the past 2 years to my soon to be wife's 96 2.5 TL. Originally I joined Acurazine when I bought a 02 CL type S. More and more I find myself posting on the 1st gen TL forum. The 2nd gen CL forum is becoming kinda snooty...but anyways.
Well I wrecked my CL recently and so now I'm in the process of finding another car. In the meantime I'm driving an old beater 93 Honda Accord LX.
Here's a picture of my fiancee's TL on a sunny day.
I met my fiancee about 2 years ago and right away I felt a deep urge to work on her car. First it needed some extreme cleaning. So right away I washed and waxed it, and vacuumed it...this is when we began dating.
About year later...Here's me taking off the bumper to do some...mods
I took out the resonator
Put in an K&N filter so she can breather easier
Here's a couple of pictures of my car when she was still alive.
Here's a pic of the Fiamm Freeway blaster horn that I installed on my fiancee's TL. She was complaining of people cutting her off, so....
Here's me ripping out the door panel on the TL and lubing up the rails and installing new Infinity speakers. Her original speakers had foam rot.
Here's pics of my CL totaled at the junk yard
Here's me trying to do the tranny filter screen install on the 2.5 TL and realizing after I took it off that the part I ordered is for the 3.2 !!!
Here's a picture with the correct part number.
Here some pics I took of a Mazda Miata that I'm considering buying.
Here's a picture of my future wife.
And last but not least a picture of me. Im the one in the middle. The Sushimaster
Conclusion:
So far on the TL, I've had the front rotors changed because they were warped.
I had installed AEM dimpled and slotted rotors and ceramic pads.
The TL has about 139,000 miles. I just put in new NGK spark plugs. Put in new wipers. Flushed the radiator fluid. Changed the master cylinder myself because it went bad. Had to recently replace the catalytic converter and both CV axels. Align the wheels. Switch out the D3 light with the D4.
The car now drives fine and shifts relatively smooth for it's age. i just flushed out the tranny fluid and changed the filter. The windows now move up and down okay since I lubed it.
The next thing I plan to do is install HID's. Most likely McCulloch 5000K.
Then some new struts. New tires and a Nakamichi headunit. I'll post pics accordingly.

Very detailed and interesting.....
I had the same problem with tranny filter and gasket. I ordered the wrong parts. My car sat in the garage for almost two week while waiting for the right one to arrive....

Basically I got T-boned while going into an intersection. It was my fault. I ran the stop sign. Could have been more tragic, but everyone involved was okay. The body shop had to cut away the outer door panel to assess the structural damages. Hard lesson learned, always abide by traffic laws.
