Honda has a problem with their power windows, I had this problem in my TL as well as 2 Accords that I have had. Sometimes its the power window motor that need to be replaced.

I also hear kind of a low toned sound when taking off. Wonder if its something I should check out? The tranny shifts smoothly though. Something else that happens is at times I go to start the car and all I get is clicks as if my battery is dead. I try two or three more times and the car starts right up. The problem is sparatic. I took it in and sure as hell the damn car started up fine for the mechanic everytime...lol. Any one else have this problem? Could it be the starter? The factory alarm cut-off switch? Its really annoying.

Dude $650 is not bad for a Timing Belt, Drive Belts and Water Pump, Mine cost me $875 about 3 weeks ago and now I have to take it in for the 60K service which will be about another $750. This is in Long Island, New York. Talk about true love if I am willing to dump all this cash, but my baby has been good to me so she is worth it!

I got slow front windows too on my 96 TL (bought by the 1st owner on 7/95). I think that it is about the time to replace the motors on both front doors. Any idea where to look for the replacement motors? I am avoiding the dealer around here since they are always expensive. I can trust some Acura parts supplier. Thx in advance.

Check around in local salvage yards, they had a few around here where I live and I have some 1st gen TLs. They should have the window motors, if you can look for ones that come out of a 98 so the motor would be newer.

I dont think its the window motors that make the windows slow. Its the felt window guides that need to be replaced. They wear out over a few years and the glass rubs againt metal, thats why you get scratches on the glass. Thats also why if your car is wet the windows go right up.
