Motor and gearbox oil Leak

Hi guys

My car have a leak by the distributor. For change the o-ring (#7) i need to drain the all motor oil?

I have another leak but this is by the gearbox. Im marked the zone where im see the leak down. This leak can fix? Maybe a seal. Im asked to mechanics, and him tell me if i need to replace the gearbox. Replace the gearbox by this leak. This is necessary? If i need to replace a seal maybe cost me $10.00 but a gearbox cost like $290.00. Please any recomendation let me know.
Thanks in advance.

For this leak, you can fix it by urself. My car got this leak before but mine was worse, somehow the distributor roller loose and the oil come out from there, and I have to buy the new distributor($300), and I just got it fixed last week. You do not have to drop any other part. Just take the sparkplug wires and the distributor out and you good to replace the seal.

If you have already replaced the gasket but still leaks, I think you will need to replace the distributor.
I know TexasHonda has done this and he may be able to help.

The distributor may be leaking through the internal seal. If oil is draining from the cap/distributor body seam at low point and/or oil in the distributor body, this is the problem. If it's leaking where distributor meets cylinder head, the Oring part discussed is the problem.

I haven't replaced the internal seal in the distributor of 2.5TL, but have in a Honda Accord. I suspect (but don't know for certain), the procedure is same. Following is link to the procedure. I found you could leave the wiring in place and replace the distrbutor seal (requires driving in place w/ hammer and socket driver).
