Lumbar support and wind noise

I just bought a 97 Acura TL 2.5 a few weeks ago from a used car dealer and my only questions/complaints are as follows:

1) Seat is uncomfortable no matter what I try to do. I think that maybe the lumbar support is screwed up as it seems to stick out a lot from the seat even when it is disengaged. The lumbar support which has the handle adjustment works correctly but I think it starts off too far out. (sticking into the seat)
I need to go look at other similar TL's to guage wether the lumbar support is in the correct position when it is disengaged.

2) Wind noise......anything over 50 mph sounds like the wind is blowing into the car. I guess I just need to replace the rubber door seals but a buddy said it might just be trim whistling as he feels no airflow or sees any cracks through the seals. Do these seals become a lot less noise proof with age?

Any comments anyone has that can help me out I thank you in advance.

Mark

Welcome to frameless windows, my #1 pet peeve with this car, apparently there are fixes but the problems can be from several things relating to the window or the door. Is it on the driver's side or passenger's?

The lumbar issue sounds strange, might be broken. Otherwise, our cars are pretty good

About frameless windows, my old E36 M3 used to tuck the windows down when you opened the door, and then pop the window up under the weather seal when you shut it. It didn't have a problem with wind noise.

I wonder if the newer Acura's do this.

The newer Acuras do not. In fact, Acura got rid of frameless doors all-together. Its simpler and increases body rigidity and therefore, safety.

Frameless doors are just so cool looking though.

Yeah they are, especially with the window down.

For the seating postion, you have to play with it. It took me FOREVER and a half to find the correct seating postion for me (coming from a truck). Since the power seats have so many different combinations of movement, there's so many different ways to have the seat. My height (lack thereof) complicates matters a bit too. Try playing with different seat angles (the bottom of the seat) and the back of the seat too. Notice when you move the rear of the seat, the seatback angle changes relative to your body, so you have to adjust it. I put mine back a bit (not quite airplane seat but far back enough). It had at first felt like it stuck out when I got it but I guess it molded to me or something. It feels good now. Oh yeah and I can't adjust my lumbar support because it's broken (it has no knob, stupid previous owners :sqntfawk: ).

Mine has a knob to adjust it I think, but I dont know if it even works...I can move the latch on the side of the seat, but it just goes back to its original position right away every time! whats up with that? or is it working and I'm just an idiot? I'd believe that too.

The lumbar is increased/decreased by "pumping" for lack of a better word. You do it 3 times back and forth to raise it, repeat and it will decrease. You should feel it! If not, its broken.
