lowering my TL soon need help....
well...finally i am thinking of lowering my TL....but i have no idea which lowering spring i should get...i wanna get something that will lower my cart nicely and still the ride.....i don't wanna get something that will make my ride bumpy and bad...i still wanna have the same ride quality and make it look nice....give me some advice on which ones i should get...thanks a lot...97 TL

i would go with a eibach prokit, on my 2.5 it is a 1.2" in the front and a 1" in the rear , i have 17's and it basically took away the wheelgap , the ride is still good also

I'm curious if anyone here has changed the springs themselves? I plan to do them in a month or 2. I've heard it isn't that bad. I was just curious if someone here has any firsthand advice.

Lowering your car yourself...YES!
My Car--1998 2.5 TL
Springs- Eibach Prokits (4011.140--I think??)
Lowering distance- Perfect. Not too low, but just enough to get rid of the wheel gap.
Ride Quality- Perfect (for me) I hated that soft, floaty feel of the OEM springs. However, I did not want a stiff racing spring either. I have a 6 month old daughter and didn't want her to be bouncing around in her car seat, ya know? This characteristic is personal, so think about what you want. These springs suit me just fine. They give me a sportier ride without the harshness of racing springs. Plus, these cars are sedans, not sports coupes, so you don;t want to choose a rough riding spring to drop your car. I would pay the money to go with Eibach Prokits. They honestly are great for the money. Yes, there are cheaper one such as Dropzone, etc, but they are single (compression) rated, $hitty springs. There are more expensive (and maybe better ones too), but our cars are older and why spend the money. I would check on Ebay. I bought mine for $100 + shipping. Remember they aren't really advertised for our cars, but they're the same ones that fit the Accord (CHECK Eibach.com) For difficulties and detailed questions, email me. Otherwise, do a search in this forum on changin springs and you'll find the same good instructions that I did (with pictures) GOOD LUCK!!!!

Oh, by the way, I have brand new tires and I honsetly dont think that I need a camber kit with these springs (Eibach Prokits). The drop is not radical enough. I have had them installed for approximately 5-6000 miles and have noticed no unusual or uneven tire wear.

Before buying camber kits, try out the springs for a while and see if your tires start to wear unevenly. If not---Great. If so, buy 'em and instal 'em. Those are expensive too! ($100-125 front , $100-125 back)

on my old car, i had eibach prokits and they ate up my tires. its a gradual process though....it doesn't wear out within like 5-6k miles.... oh and the springs dropped my car 1 inch

i just went to this place to get a quote on lowering my car, they said i should go with the eibach sportline if i want to go with 18's and the prokit if i want 19's. they also mentioned that if i get the eibach sportline which drops it and inch and three quarters, i wouldnt need to buy camper kits.

dont' go with sportlines.. i heard that they wear out a lot quicker than the prokit
have the prokit for two years, no need for camber adjustment, abosolutely no uneven tire wear
