Ebay $35 shipped! Just be patient! Need to modify to fit our TL's, a little shaving-filing required. Not bad at all!

Damn that looks nice the (fake?) wood on the knob matches our fake wood trim pretty well. Is it leather on the sides or is it just some plastic?

All leather, nice! It is the authentic Acura MDX Shift Knob! The wood is the same as ours. If you like them, when you search for them, it has to be the 2005 and up models. There's a bunch of them for about $45 to $55. I just chanced upon one that sold for $35. Good condition, too. Merry Xmas for my TL!

That is nice but I think the 1G RL wood knob looks better-plus it has the 'A' logo silkscreened on top. I got the RL knob on my TL. No modifications required - just plug n play.

I wanted to search your posts Capricho, but it seems that that function is no longer available. So could you link me to a pic of the RL knob in your car; I'm really curious how it looks.

The MDX knob looks nice, but it'd be better if it would be slightly smaller.

The 1G RL knob looks similar to the 2G knob here:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2005-...ehicleQ5fParts

I do not know if the 2G knob fits but the 1G does without any modification.

No it is just unscrew and screw. Like stated above just file some of it down.

Mandy the shift knob looks so fresh.

The RL knob is all wood, I wanted the leather-wood look.

The leather matches the steering wheel. So, it is all good. Sweet to change that gear!

I actually prefer the RL knob, but the MDX one is really nice, no doubt.

The picture of the wood knob above is exactly what I've got. Looks classy
especially with the chrome shift gate.

Get the one that fits the 1G RL and there's no modification required. It screws right in.

I like both knobs. My TL is a work in progress. Got her from an auction for 2500, with 142000 miles. Any idea where I can get a ash tray and lid for the cup holder? Thanks for the help.

Tell you guys, nothing beats holding that shift knob....it is smooth and silky....I wish I had a manual tranny car so I can just hold the knob all the time....which I already do, I like shifting down most of the time to help with the braking...
