Longest time w/o cleaning

What was the longest time you ever left your car unwashed? I would like to see if anybody can beat my record *flexing muscles*

you see... mine is usually under a cover, so it could go a few months. I really do take care of it though, the paint was so smooth last time that you couldn't lean on it.

Well for the Acura, I'm currently beating the record, which is roughly 2 months. However my old car, a 94 Camry, I didn't wash the whole winter, so thats like 5 months!

my everyday car washing has stopped due to the water ban here in NC. I had it done about 2 weeks ago at a hand wash car wash- the same price as the ones that use brushes-did an excellant job but still prefer to do it myself. the car is garage-kept.

I try to wash every week, however sometimes it will go 2 weeks. I can't stand to see someone driving a nice new DIRTY TL.

Let's see, it's a 96 and I bought it in 07, so maybe it was 11 years since it had a proper wash?
My current schedule has me going no longer than 3 weeks -depending on the weather of course.

Ha, had to make sure I wasn't telling a fib... I put a post up in an NBP thread about how my ASM still shines two weeks after washing, that was September 28th, the date of this pic... So I went a little more than 2 months with no wash.

My theory is this... The more you touch it, the more fucked up it gets. Let it get dirty and stay dirty, wash less often but really wash it when you do.

......It goes without saying. Living in Southern California where it never rain. The car in always garaged. Pushing close to 25k miles and owning it since 6/2005 people still can't believe how clean and shinny it looks. Last wash & wax was 7/2007, I personnally think that's not bad for being NBP....

Now that it is getting colder here in New England I am unable to save money and wash my car myself so I have to take it to a Car Wash now so my car will probably only get washed after 2 weeks. In the warmer weather however I wash it every Friday.

During the summer time every Friday hand wash by the way the car has never seen the entrance of a car wash ever since I owned it 6/21/07. Now with the winter around the corner I'm going to do my best to wash it every week as weather permits n get the car cover on. I hate seeing my KBP dirty it drives nuts.

I wash and seal every week. If the weather is bad, then sometimes 1.5-2 weeks. If it stays nice out I usually QD it 2x before the next wash/seal.

I have not wash my ride since the water restriction and it is now no outdoor watering in GEORGIA. So it has been 4 to 5 months....

And I do not like other people wash my car so I have not wash it at all....I feel totally guilt how I am treating my ride....

A month or two. Its pointless during the winter in Oregon. The interior stays very clean however.

Cereal, more washing = more wear... Think about it, paint isn't made to last forever. Sux, but a daily runner is just that.

If you wash/wax/seal/maintain paint properly there is no issue. I haven't seen any posts on cars who's paint was deteriorating due to frequent washing/waxing.

Check out the wash/wax section of the site for good products, and proper techniques.

there is no way any of you can even compete with me in this category..

I have not seriously sat down and washed ALL of the dirt off of my car since 2003. I usually just get a oil rag and wipe the shit off..

Or if its like mondo huge bird turd, ill get some windex, 409, window washer fluid, weed killer, fuckin 7up, whatever the shit is nearby and wet, and spray that shit off then scrape the turds off with a credit card.

shrugs... Just repaint it when 75%+ of your audience says it looks bad.

dont exactly drive an Acura, But my mom probably washes her car twice per year.

the thing is, it's always dirty, but never dirty enough to justify getting a wash, and even when we do, it ends up dirty the day after anyways so we dont even bother.
