LED lightbulbs
I am planning on buying LED lightbulbs for my turn signals and front side market lights.
I heard that if you install LED bulbs, it would blink faster than usual? is that true? How would you go about fixing this?
Also I was going to get 4 head LED bulbs for the front side markers and 9 head LED bulbs for the turn signal. Is the turn signal with 9 head LED going to be bright enough? Or should I go with 11? 15? 19?

I bought jamstrait LED replacements from myroadster.net. I like them a lot, but unfortunately, they don't fill the reflectors. I'm looking into a way of fixing this. I love the LED look, especially on blinkers.
To solve the problem, you can either get the load equalizers (that's what I did), or get a variable load flasher. Do a search, there were a few posts on this back in December.

I have Jam Strait LEDs in my blinkers. I think they're 15 LEDs each. They only look good at night. In the day they suck. It looks like LEDtronics.com makes some nice ones but they're very expensive.
Its true that LEDs will make the flasher blink too fast. It thinks the bulbs are burnt out since they use so little power. I corrected this by adding a 1 mega ohm potentiometer to the flasher. Now I can adjust my flasher's speed manually by using a knob. If you're interested in doing that let me know and I'll post some instructuons.

Hey 96TL, I'm thinking I might do that, could you post some pictures and instructions on hooking up that potentiometer?
Also, if i want to take that potentiometer out so things will be stock, is that possible? or it is kinda in there permanently?
Also I was wondering if you know what type of bulb the instrument cluster takes? Is it the same as the front side marker which is 168/194? I have a few blown out bulbs and didn't want to go buy new ones at a dealership, since it'll probably be $5 a bulb.

HERE. Don't buy a 100K potentiometer like he says, buy a 1 mega ohm and you'll be set. A 100K is good if you want to make your stock blinkers blink fast. This mod is 100% reversible since all you're modifying is the flasher. The flasher is a little annoying to get to. Its under the drivers side dash all the way on the top left. Leave the hazards on so you can hear it clicking. Theres a row of relays and the flasher is the first one. You'll have to unplug a few harnesses (I think 3) so make sure the key is not in the ignition. Make the wire coming out of the flasher to the potentiometer longer so you can adjust it while driving. Thats how mine is set up. Also, I bought a new flasher from Autozone because when I modded the stock one it blew out after a few days. It might've been old. Buy one from Autozone for $6.99. It matches the one on that site under "Alternate Flashers". Good luck!
Do you mean the bulbs that like up the speedo, fuel, temp and RPM guages? Those are 168/194 bulbs with blue condoms. You can get a pair at Autozone for $2. Just swap the condoms. I like the way mine used to look when I had superwhite bulbs in there.

Oh sweet thanks for the instructions. Yea I'm thining of maybe changing my dash lightbulbs with blue or white instead of the regular ugly stock ones. Either that or use my indiglow gauges. If I change it to blue or white, will I need to use the condom for any particular reason? ie. discolored bulbs or somethin?

I was also wondering what would look better for the clear corners: white side marker lights w/ amber turn signals or amber side marker lights w/ amber turn signals. What do you all think? I was thinking of going with white side marker lights /w amber turn signals because when i turn on my headlights it'll match the color (somewhat).
