Leaky EGR Diaphragm maybe?
I have an 96 Acura TL 3.2. I got a check engine light with a code 0402----Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Flow Excessive Detected
I inspected the EGR, pushed the diaphragm up and covered my thumb over the vacuum inlet. I noted the diaphragm initially moved a little then stopped and held till I took my thumb off and it dropped the rest of the way. Is that enough evidence for a leaky diaphragm or can I expect a little initial give from the top of its range?
