keyless entry

hey guys, just wondering if you guys know of any good keyless entry systems. i don't really care for the top of the line alarm systems, but just some decent system that'll pop the trunk, unlock doors is fine with me. and i was wondering if you can program the Acura remotes to a different alarm system. there's a keyless thing on ebay for the 2.5, but don't know if i wanna spend 70 bucks to only unlock my doors. thanks for the suggestions.

you need to buy a solenoid so it will pull on the cable-release lever that we have to use to open the trunk. i have a basic viper alarm installed on my TL for keyless entry. cost me $150 installed...the guy wanted $50 more for the solenoid to open the trunk so i said fvck it, i think i can open the trunk myself.

A couple of years ago I had a solenoid installed to work with my Compustar, but I ran into a problem. Everytime I used the remote to open my trunk, I wouldn't be able to close it for a long time. What I mean by long time is I had to constantly shut my trunk until it finally locked close. I was able to use the trunk lever in the car with no problems. I had the installers check it out, unfortunatly I forgot exactly what they said. It was something about how the solenoid wasn't compatible with our trunks (2.5 TL to be exact) open and close mechanism.
Were they actually clueless and gave me a B.S answer? I don't know but at least they took it out free of charge.
