just wondering
i was wondering if any other 2.5's do this ... when im in first gear and im rolling if i really slam on it the car goes but the rpm's go to about 6500 rpms( redline is at 7000) and then it changes to second, does any other 2.5's do this cause if not what do you guys think this, could this be a potential problem with?

anyway, i think he means when he has it in D4, right? b/c he said, "and then it changes to second" so i guess he's in D4. anyway, uh... i have no comment to that because i never floor it...wastes gas and our cars already drinking gas like its dying of thirst. any of yall use 93 gas?? or 89? i use 89 but i hear we have to use 93 or something?

Most super is generally 93 octane. Its all I'll use, and I would even use higher octane if I could get it around here. anyone out there get able to get their hands on anything higher than 93?

My car is the same, I think it's normal when the gear changes to the second gear from the first gear just before the rpm reaches the red line when we slam it.
Infact, when we floor it at any gear, the tranmission will change to a lower gear that is the lowest one if possible and the rpm with it doesn't reach the red line yet. So we could have the lowest gear we want without running the engine in red line zone AUTOMATICALLY.
Floor it sometimes to see how strong and how smooth your car could handle guys
