Just need confirmation on the tranny service...and Tint ?'s
I am going to do the "stickied" Tranny service. I went to the dealer and the parts guy told me that i would have to pull the trans apart to get to the screen o the 2.5. I doubted him, but held off on the parts.
I noticed that someone did the service on a 2.5.
O-ring- 91308-PA9-003
Screen- 25420-PW4-010
Gasket- 21813-PW7-000
Are these the correct parts? Does the parts dept know what they are talking about? Tim at hondacuraworld for parts?
I am getting my windows tinted Monday. All 5. What % looks best and is most functional?
Thanks boys

Yes, these are right parts for a 2.5. I have a 1997 2.5 and i used these parts.
Remove the pan first. Just make sure that you keep track of the bolts, they are different sizes. Once the pan is removed, you will have access to the strainer. Remove the strainer which is held by three bolts, i think.
The most difficult part of this process was to put back the gasket and the pan back on. because, it took me few trips under the car to get the pan from leaking fluid.
But the job is very straight forward and anyone who knows how to replace spark plugs should be able to do it.
Make sure you use Honda ATF. It's cheaper at the Honda dealer than Acura dealer.
Tell the parts guy at the steelership to stop talking crap...

meazz is correct on the above... i provided the writeup for the 3.2... the 2.5 is the same just different part numbers... i always order my OEM parts from Tim so i highly recommend him... he knows his stuff and can even provide guidance to you if you forget a part...
since you are in NJ, i would watch out for the 5% on the fronts... i had 20% all around and got ticketed for the front... so i staggered it 20% rear and 35% front to blend it a little better... and it really doesn't look like there is anything on the front... if you try to blend it, the 5% in back with something lighter in front, it may not look right...

Awesome, thanks a ton guys. I will order the parts today.
The tint, I was thinking 20% all the way around. or should I go 20% rear and 35% front. I want it to look nice and I am going to be illegal either way.

I got bored the other day and tinted myself 35% all around. Well, I didn't do the back window yet becuase of time constraints but the sides look nice. IIRC, Colt's got 2.5% all around, haha.

Just ordered my parts from Tim. He said that a lot of people have been doing this. He said he has been around these cars since day one and hey never really did this service. Hmm, The trans was on my to do list anywho, may as well do it right.
Thanks again for the guidance.
