Issue with one of the betls

Is this one supposed to be a little loose? When I turn the car on, this belt wheel does not spin steady. It rattles a little. I can also rock it back and forth with my hand. Has it become little loose or that's how it is?
What is it, water pump pulley?

That's your crank pulley... If it's loose, then you're in trouble. Get it tightened to spec RIGHT AWAY!

~Cheers~

If you have an impact gun, it will take all of 5 minutes.

Meazz, yours is a 2.5? It's a pain in the ass on the 3.2. To change mine out, the radiator and front engine mounts had to come out.

Since you're just tightening it and not replacing the entire pulley, etc., it should be rather easy. IIRC, the bolt size is 19mm and once you get the socket on there, a long ratchet or smaller one with a cheater pipe should be all you need to tighten it. I'd make sure it's straight first and if you've got a torque wrench, use it. I believe spec is 150lb/ft. TexasHonda might know the specifics as he has a 2.5 and I'm just going from what I remember. Good luck.

~Cheers~

Ok, I ended up taking it to the dealer and an independent shop.
The The crankshaft pulley is coming apart. That needs to be replaced.
about $550.00 parts and labor.

Wow, coming apart and not just loose? What did you do?! Just kidding. Good luck with fixing it, and are they going to do a timing belt change as well?

~Cheers~

I have 237K now and I did a TB change at 199K.
They had to special order the part from the dealer and I will pick up the car today.
