whats up guys...ive got a 98 2.5tl and i think im gonna go ahead and do a jdm inspire conversion.....the only ball up is ive never built a japanese car in my life....so any advice will be more than appreciated....but ive done a good deal of research on the two cars, similarities and differences, etc.....and i think im about ready to get the ball rolling....i just need help finding places to buy the parts....ive found most, but not all.....also if anyone knows of a wrecked inspire for cheap, that would be way easier......the only specific questions that i have at this point are is the g25a motor in my tl the same 2.5 as is found in the inspires, and if so does anyone anywhere who makes a downpipe or a turbo manifold for this engine, and what manual transmissions will bolt up to the g25a, i cant stand an automatic......6spd would be excellent, but anything that will bolt up will get the ball rolling on that swap, and i dont know if anyone makes a tranny conversion kit for this car, pedals, mounts, etc... but if so that would also be a much appreciated link.....here's a few pics of the car as it sits now...stock as hell....

 

Take that dog OFF the airbag!! You're going to kill your passenger or even yourself if you ever get into an accident!! Other than that, first clean up your car (wash/wax/vacuum) and then we'll start discussing mods.

P.S. The Vigor tranny works but I believe a one or two of the mounting points are a bit different.

 

i think im more worried about the dog gettin hurt when he smacks the windshield...haha...but yea the car's a wreck as far as dirtiness goes.....we'll just have to look past that for the time being.....the dirt covers up all of the imperfections in the paint and interior, thats my excuse for a filty car anyways....haha.....but im gonna repaint it when i get done with it anyway, and probably get the seats recovered....theyve seen better days.....

 

i say just convert it to the front end of a 3.2. looks better and you dont have to spend so much extra for japan's scrap.

save yourself the money, the only japanese things even close to worth it are the tailights

 

if you need the black housing headlamps (inspire type-s), inspire taillamps, and emblems, i have them up for sale...

 

how much do you want for the lot of them?....are they actual inspire parts or remakes?.....and do you have the eyelids to go with the headlights or no?

 

headlamps,taillamps,and emblems are all original oem honda motors of japan... i bought them from a dealership in japan... the eyelids were manufactured here in the states.. inspired motorsports..
