Idler Pulley adjuster?

My adjuster is missing. My idler pulley is whinning i guess the bearings are shot. But I need to use the idler adjuster to loosen the belt.

I fixed it sounds good as new. When you break the bolt on the pulley if gave me a little room to slide the adjuster up just enough to grab it with my 6mm. Someone had adjusted it all the way down instead of all the way up. Now it looks like how it does in the first pic. And the whine is gone. I just got another pulley off of a acura vigor.

Funny that I just changed this same pulley out a week ago. Glad you got it fixed!

Just saw your PM regarding this issue, but couldn't reply because your inbox exceeded it's limits. I was going to suggest breaking the center 14mm nut to unlock the pulley, but just saw your post and glad that you got it figured out. Anyhow, welcome to the forum!
