I hate to remind you all...
...but some of our cars are close to being 10 years old!! Can you believe it??? We made it to 10 years with our cars. You should be proud! Not all cars make it but then again our cars were built in Japan. So lets hear it from all the 96 TL owners!! Where you at?!?!

Haha...10 years is normal for Hondas. We have a '90 Accord with 235k miles now and it's almost 16 years old. It may look old because of the fading paint and stuff but the mechanicals are still working perfectly. *knock on wood* Meanwhile, my '96 3.2TL is almost 10 years old with 89k miles on it. Runs very well.

Yep I can say I went 10 years as well with my TL. Was still going strong. There was a few things I was going to have to fix, but didn't since I traded it in. Thing is, they will go forever, but it's at the point where things start screwin up....

Mine is 78K, and its a 1997.
So far, theres no outer body rust, engine, or transmission problems yet! I change the oil regularly every 3000 miles using Royal Purple , tune up every summer, and waxed it twice a year. Luckily, I have a garage to store it so the paint still looks good. Im proud to say, it still runs like the day I bought it.
The only wear I see is the rubber mold and wiper base. The rubber mold on the windows are turning white, and the wiper base color is erasing. I'll have to paint it black someday.
With proper maintenace and easy driving, I think maybe our cars can easily make it to 2010! That gives me more time to save up for another Acura to replace her.
The new TL isnt made in the Japan anymore. From my understanding, its made somewhere in the south. I dont know if it has the same quality as ours.

I've got another car, a '94 Honda DelSol I use as a daily driver. It's got 118,000 miles and is still going strong. The car looks and drives like a new car, even the seats haven't worn out yet. Dashboard looks as good as new...but then I believe it was made in Japan, not Ohio.
