I Had the worst Weekend ever!!
Okay I was leaving from Connecticut to go see my friend that lives in New Jersey over the weekend. Saturday afternoon was a nightmare because of the bad weather we had here and the traffic crazy. Luckly my gps made me bypas alot of that. Anyway I just made it into New York and i notice theres steam comming from my engine so im like wtf is going on. I pulled over on the side of the highway and pop my hood, and theres steam comming from under my coolant reservior area. I checked for leaks..nothing no leaks. So im clueless to figure out why my car is over heating. So i let it cool down for atleast a half hour. I get back in the car and drive for 10 min and my temp gauge is going higher..now its pass H!!! so i hurry and find the next exit so get to a safe stop and i ended up in Bronx ny where there was an auto shop right at the exit. The guy checks out my car which took him about a hour to figure out and happen so my coolant fan motor died causing my car to over heat and my thermo stat went also. so i need a new t stat..coolant motor and 2 gallons of coolant cuz he said he has to flush it..All this cost me $525 and he didnt charge me for labor because he felt bad for me and i was low on funds so I kinda lucked out..Anyone had a worst expirence than this?

same thing happened to me actually a while back but it was over the course of a few days or so my fan also went out which caused the overheating i had a thread on it so go see if you can find it and also a vid on youtube of where it was steaming from but i think it only cost me around 3-400 w/ labor maybe its because i knew the guy...
