I paid $20k for my '98 3.2 TL in 2000. It had 42,500 miles on it when I bought it. I found it on cars.com and drove about 200 miles to pick it up from a dealer's lot. Had a major tranny failure this year at 150k miles. Other than that this is a great car.

Got mine for $950 in April this year. My dad purchased it on Ebay for $3000 but didn't like it. He told me to sell my car and give him the cash, then I could have the TL. 179,000 miles, four small dings, and a couple chips on the hood. Premium package 3.2. I think I got a deal

Paid $4400 in January 2008 for 1997 3.2TL base with 110K miles on it and one cracked headlight. It was and still in perfect condition with a lot of dings everywhere from some careless bastards...

The year was 2000, the 1998 3.2 had 23k miles and I parted out with $19.5K. Bought the extended warranty for $1.5K and return on investment was awesome. had a copule of trips to the dealer and zero deductible....got lucky. Then again look at my 3.2 today, still close to pristine as can be, an 11 year old beauty!

I paid $1.

My aunt bought a CTS in 2006 so I bought it off her for $1. Money isn't an issue for her so that is why I only paid $1. Since then I have put at least $6,000-$7,000 into it from mods to maintenance.

96TL 2.5 with 168k miles. $3600 Bought in Sep, 2008. Distributor leaking oil, the fix costs $400 (part and labor). Mods and maintenance cost me about $500. The car is running great compare to its age.

Made a deal early this year with my parents for 3k. They bought it new in '98 for around 33k and it's been used by the rest of the family. It's at 186k miles now and there's a bunch of dings and dents from their terrible driving, but I love the thing for all the good memories it has given and plan to get it all fixed and taken care of. It's my first (owned) car.

Sad to say but may be parting with my 96 2.5 TL

Hey folks,

I think the time has come where I have to get rid of my old girl. I have been debating about it for a couple of weeks now and thinking I may need to do it.

She is getting older now and has given me a great deal of service and never let me down, and has always brought be home in one piece and never left me stranded. She has:

194,000 on the odometer.
I have installed alot of new parts in her and may be loosing if I trade her in. I will see what the verdict is tomorrow.

I still have my 2004 TL Navi with complete A-Spec Package, but my 96' became my beater since I got my newer mistress the 04. I am currently looking to purchase a 2002 TL Type-S with 62,000k on the odometer. The 2002 is Black on Black with Navi as well.

My O4 is Black on Black with Navi.

And my old girl that I am gonna possibly get rid of is Black with Tan Leather.

I am kinda torn cause I remember she was the first car I really bought all by myself after college when I was making some money. She is a 1996 I bought in 1998 with 24,000 on the odometer. She cost me $22k back then and has given me blood sweat and tears and still pulls strong. The body is a bit banged up but all of the internals are MINT, Oil, Antifreeze, Brake Fluid just about EVERYTHING!. I have recently put alot of money into her with Timing Belt, Water Pump, Drive Belts, Brake Rotors (Slotted), Brake Pads (EBC Green Stuff), Tires, Two new Rear Brake Calipers, New Power Window Switch, A/C Blower Motor, Ignition, Radiator, Radiator Fan, Tires (Michilen Pilots), Japanese Spec Black Insert Head Lights, with HID for both Headlights and Fogs, Inspire Tails, Eibach Springs, Tokico Blue Shocks, Gabriel Strut Tower Brace. The list keeps going on.

I even Still have parts I havent installed in her yet. I am just caught between a rock and a hard place. I dont have the room to keep all 4 cars. I have also a 1984 50th Anniversary 300ZX Turbo.

Sounds gay but kinda brings a tear to my eye to let her go.

Paid $20k for my 1998 3.2 TL in 2001

I bought my 1998 3.2 TL in May 2001 for $20k. It had 42,995 miles on it when I bought it. The first owner had kept the original window sticker; new car MSRP was in the $33k ballpark.

It's been 10 years and it's now at 246K, great car!

1998 2.5 Premium, 198,000 miles. Paid $1400 nearly a week ago. Very good condition except for the driver's seat and busted CD player. Adding $300 worth of audio stuff (Kenwood HU, basslink sub).
