Baby Boy, did you buy the black headlight housings, or do it yourself? I'm gonna do mine soon, just wanted to know how hard it was, and what kind of paint you used if you did it yourself!

Talking it was easy

it was easy cornflake i got the directions from a thread around here somewere and i put about 2-3 coats of glossy black paint. there isnt a better feeling than knowing you did a project on your car and it came out right.

For real, I do most of the work on my car msyelf when I can, but it's the customization stuff that makes you feel really good. Had the same feeling when I did the mesh grill on my ride. I will definately be looking up that post and trying it before next spring!

That doesn't look too bad. But, from what I remember that seller had many dissatisfied customers. How is the quality and is it easy to install?

Wow I like that, makes it look even more luxurious, especially on a color like my car.

I personally don't care too much for them, and if you look at the TL in the pic, the slats are not even the right lengths, or someone just didn't put them on right, cause they don't line up properly, esp. at the bottom of the grill! But hey, to each his own. If you like them by all means put 'em on! It's all about personalization!!

Did you cut out the "fins" also or just lay it over it. It looks like you cut them out like I did.

I left the slats there for mine if it's me you're askin'. You can see it at http://members.cardomain.com/cornflake_cwl (I have the clears installed now, but won't take pics until 18's are back on in the spring!!)

I had to cut out all the "fins" in the grill with a dremel tool leaving the part where the A thing fits in but taking the "fins" around it down so there is just a plate left. Then i got some really tight weeve alum mesh from homedepot and used the screw holders as a way to fit the mesh making holes etc. Then once i got the fitting right i painted it black with a rust proof spray paint. and then put the typeS on there with some really small screws and thats it. Basically just cutting the fins out and putting the mesh flat between the chrome thing and the plastic grill. The grill I have is NON-REVERSABLE!!!!!! So do it at your own risk.
Thanks

Well he gave it to me for free...shipping and everything. He didn't have any pictures of a tl with the grille so I told him I'll take pictures of mine if he gave it to me for free. So it was a win-win situation. It's really easy to install, but you just gotta cut the slats out yourself. As someone mentioned, a few of the slats are uneven. I'm planning to redo it soon.

Question

I can't tell what the grill is. Is there a grill in there? Or is it the lack of a grill.
